Residents face difficulties as Bhaderwah rendered powerless from last three days : Javed Azad BHADERWAH , DEC 14 (KNO) : Senior Congress leader and former Chairman Muncipial Committee Bhaderwah Javed Iqbal Azad are up and arms against unscheduled power cuts in Bhaderwah. In a press statement issued here Congress leader Javed Azad alleged that Power Development Department (PDD) doesn’t ensure regular power supply to Bhaderwah from the last three days .“We do not receive power supply to Bhaderwah from the last three days and frequent power cuts have become a daily Routine now,”. We have been repeatedly asking authorities to redress our problems; but to no avail and the employees and officers had switched off their mobile phones and the government has pushed Bhaderwah to reel under darkness, he said. How long are the people here going to be fed on lies? As the winter sets in here in the whole Chenab valley , people are made to believe that the administration and its machinery are geared up to face the coming winter, he alleged . But once the winter is on, everything simply goes haywire, he alleged and said this is what has been happening in the past and this season too things seem no different. Javed Azad said even as Bhaderwah is yet to get full doze of snowfall, but electricity has disappeared . He said Government, on its part, seated comfortably in the warm and cozy environs of winter capital, as the precedence has been, resorts to token lip-service without actually doing much to alleviate peoples’ problems.Congress leader allege that the schedules being announced day in and day out by the Power Development Department (PDD) are just an eyewash and that if the state government and PDD department fails to solve the power crisis in the Bhaderwah the protests will be intensified.(KNO)
